Broadway Grosses: Revivals Boast Stars and Sales

Two new play revivals, both boasting star power, began performances on Broadway last week: Julius Caesar and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Julius Caesar, starring Denzel Washington as Marcus Brutus, played eight previews, took in a considerable $545,149 and filled the Belasco Theatre to 84.40%. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, headlined by Kathleen Turner and Bill Irwin, only played two performances, making $97,848 and filling the Longacre to 79.91%.
