Broadway Grosses: Spring Straight Plays Move In

With the addition of more serious plays on Broadway Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? just opened, and Doubt, Julius Caesar and The Glass Menagerie are all in previews, Democracy, which opened early in the season, has been suffering. Last week, the Michael Frayn play made $172,945 and filled the Brooks Atkinson to 39.54% on average.
