Journey's End Returns to the West End in September

R.C. Sherriff's Journey's End is returning to the West End. The production will get underway at the New Ambassadors Theatre on September 22.

Journey's End centers on Stanhope, a young captain promoted beyond his years, who is preparing his men for a daring raid across No Man's Land and an impending enemy attack. Journey's End is based on Sherriff's experience in the trenches.

This production, directed by David Grindley, premiered in the West End in January 2004 at the Comedy Theatre. It closed there in May of that year and moved to the Playhouse Theatre, where it stayed for five months before transferring to the Duke of York's. The revival closed there on February 19, 2005.

The New Ambassadors Theatre is currently home to Frank McGuinness' Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, which is currently booking through June 18.
