Do you ever find yourself thinking, "Who are these nominators anyway?" when looking at the lists of stars and shows deemed worthy of nominations for each year's top theater prizes?
Well, now it's your turn to have a say! For the first time ever, Broadway.com is asking our readers to pick the nominees for the 6th Annual Broadway.com Audience Awards. VISIT OUR VOTING PAGE and read through our complete lists of choices from all of this season's productions to determine your favorites. Remember to SELECT FIVE CHOICES IN EACH CATEGORY.
Keep in mind that you need to go through three pages of voting and click the final SUBMIT button for your votes to be tallied. And sorry--you can only nominate once per e-mail address. Multiple submissions from the same computer will be tracked and eliminated from final totals.
Voting will take place through 11:59pm on Tuesday, May 10 with the 2005 Broadway.com Audience Award nominees announced on Friday, May 13. At that time, you can proceed on to final voting which will determine this year's winners. So be sure to check back and see if your favorites made the cut!
The Broadway.com Audience Awards were created in 2000 to honor the opinions of regular theatergoers like you. The Audience Award nominees and winners are chosen solely by Broadway.com users via online voting. In addition to standard production and performance categories, Broadway.com's Audience Awards are unique in many ways. They honor both new and long-running Broadway and off-Broadway productions in 26 categories including unusual choices including Favorite Replacement, Favorite Ensemble Cast, Favorite Onstage Pair, Favorite Breakthrough Performance and Favorite New Broadway Song, a new category added to this year's competition.
