Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere production of David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole, originally expected to run off-Broadway at City Center, will now play on Broadway. The mounting, directed by Daniel Sullivan, is scheduled to open at the Biltmore Theatre in February.
Rabbit Hole centers on the Corbetts, who have everything a family could want, until the day their world is turned upside down. In the aftermath of a life-shattering accident, a young husband and wife find themselves drifting perilously apart.
The Biltmore Theatre is currently home to Elaine May's After the Night and the Music. MTC will also present Alan Ayckbourn's Absurd Person Singular at the venue later this season, though whether it will bow in the fall or spring remains to be seen.
