When the MTC season was originally announced, Nixon was confirmed to star in a staging of Lanford Wilson's Talley's Folly at the Biltmore. However that production was cancelled entirely because of casting issues, leaving her free to appear in this play at the theater.
Best known for her Emmy winning portrayal of Miranda on Sex and the City, Nixon garnered rave reviews for her last Broadway role in The Women, which ran during the 2001-2002 season. She has also appeared on the Great White Way in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Indiscretions for which she earned a Tony Award nomination, Angels in America, The Heidi Chronicles, Hurlyburly, The Real Thing and The Philadelphia Story. Nixon is a founding member of the Drama Dept. Her credits with the company include Kingdom on Earth, June Moon, As Bees in Honey Drown and The Country Club.
Rabbit Hole is scheduled to officially open on February 2.
