As we previously reported, Olympia Dukakis will indeed headline Barra Grant's A Mother, a Daughter and a Gun off-Broadway this fall. The play, which will also star Veanne Cox and George S. Irving, is scheduled to begin performances at Dodger Stages on October 14 after a tryout at the Helen Hayes Theatre in Nyack, New York, a production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com.
A Mother, a Daughter and a Gun centers on a headstrong woman and her daughter, who is on the verge of emotional collapse. In addition to the aforementioned stars, the production will also feature David Bishins, Mario Campanaro, Katrina Ferguson, Matthew Greer, Laura Heisler, Stephanie Kurtzuba and Daniel Pearce. Jonathan Lynn is the director.
A Mother, a Daughter and a Gun is scheduled to run at the Helen Hayes Theatre from September 23 through October 9.
