Broadway Grosses: Big B.O. for Broadway's Bee

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a small-scale musical with no star names, continues to pack them in the 684-seat Circle in the Square. The show was at 102.87% capacity last week and took in $473,259, which is well over the $456,768 listed potential for the house which doesn't account for standing room sales. It is following in the success of its neighbor at the Gershwin, Wicked, a smash that continues to fill its large theater to 100% capacity.
