Lazer Vaudeville, which moved from the John Houseman Theatre to the Lambs Theatre in June, will play its final off-Broadway performance on August 21.
Juggling, lasers, magic, classic screwball comedy and technology take center stage in Lazer Vaudeville. The show stars bicycle hoop-roller and rope-spinner Carter Brown, international juggling champion Cindy Marvell, and acrobatic box juggler Nicholas Flair. Brown directs.
Lazer Vaudeville began performances at the Houseman on February 16 and officially opened there on March 9. In his Broadway.com Review of the production, William Stevenson wrote: "While the juggling is always entertaining, the vaudevillian-style clowning around is less successful. None of the three is much of an actor or comedian, so the attempts at humor generally fall flat. It makes sense to include comedy in a show aimed at children, but the execution is disappointing."
Lazer Vaudeville closed at the Houseman on May 14 right before the entire theater was demolished and began performances at the Lambs on June 9. A national tour of the show is expected following its off-Broadway closing.
