Based on the play The Philadelphia Story and the movie High Society, the tuner centers on a pretentious socialite, Tracy Lord, who is set to marry an equally pretentious executive when her ex-husband Dexter Haven arrives and stirs things up. Additional complications arise when tabloid reporter Mike Connor, who is there to cover the wedding, also falls for Lord. High Society features music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Arthur Kopit.
Hall will play Mother Lord in this production of High Society. The cast will also include Katherine Kingsley as Tracy Lord, Graham Bickley as Dexter Haven, Paul Robinson as Mike Connor, Ria Jones as Liz Imbrie, James Jordan as Seth Lord, Royston Kean as Uncle Willie, Claire Redcliffe as Dinah Lord and Bryan Torfeh as George Kittredge.
High Society will officially open on October 10.
