David Harrower's Blackbird Flies to the West End

David Harrower's Blackbird will come to the West End's Albery Theatre this winter. It is scheduled to begin previews on February 7 in preparation for a February 13 opening.

Blackbird centers on two people who had a relationship and meet 15 years after its completion. Ray has made a new life for himself; he has a new identity and didn't think he could be found. Una has thought of nothing else, and on finding a photo of him sets out to find Ray with shattering consequences.

The production of Blackbird that will be seen in the West End played earlier this year at the Edinburgh International Festival. Roger Allam and Jodhi May, who starred in that mounting, will again play Ray and Una, respectively. Peter Stein directs.

Blackbird is scheduled to run at the Albery through May 13.
