Broadway Grosses: Departing Doubt Stars Attract Full Houses

John Patrick Shanley's Doubt, which won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award last year, is still going strong on Broadway. The play had a particularly strong week, with audience members rushing in to see the entire original cast for the last time. Cherry Jones and Brían F. O'Byrne and Heather Goldenhersh who all received Tony nominations for their work, with Jones winning the Tony for Best Actress in a Play played their final performance in Doubt on January 8. Their final week proved to be the show's highest grossing eight-performance week ever, bringing in $569,211. The drama also filled the Walter Kerr Theatre to 100.30% capacity on average. Starting this week, Eileen Atkins, Ron Eldard and Jena Malone join original cast member Adriane Lennox. Hopefully, the new cast will keep the box office booming.
