Jewsical - The Chosen Musical Eyes Off-Broadway

Jewsical - The Chosen Musical has announced a spring off-Broadway opening at a theater to be announced. The tuner reunites the Ruthless! team of composer Marvin Laird and librettist, lyricist and director Joal Paley.

Jewsical - The Chosen Musical centers on a man, Christian Von Trapp, who wants to be in show business. He has a job opportunity, but there is a problem: the creatives want a Jew for the role. Songs include "Yinglish 101," "I'm Farblondget and Farplotzed," "Borscht Belt Betty" and "Yenta from Tellabenda."

The tuner, choreographed by A.C. Ciulla, will premiere at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, where it will run for two days only, January 27 and January 28 Before it hits the Sunshine State, a concert presentation of Jewsical - The Chosen Musical featuring Toni Carington, April Henry, David Ruffin, Craig Sculli, and Adam Shapiro will play at New York's Studio Theatre in Theatre Row on January 13.
