According to production materials, it features "a chorus line of legless knights, men in tights with legs, killer rabbits and sexy dancing divas." Spamalot features a book by Eric Idle based on the screenplay of Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Monty Python creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin and music and lyrics by Eric Idle and John Du Prez. The show won 2005 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Director for Mike Nichols and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Sara Ramirez.
