Rodney Hicks Joins Cast of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris

Rodney Hicks will complete the cast of the upcoming off-Broadway revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. He joins previously announced stars Robert Cuccioli, Gay Marshall and Natascia Diaz in the tuner, which is set to begin performances at the Zipper Theater on March 5.

Hicks was an original cast member of Rent, appearing in the musical both off-Broadway and on. He played Peter in the 2000 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. His other Gotham stage credits include From My Hometown off-Broadway, Dorian Gray during the New York Music Theatre Festival and Beautiful, which was part of the New York Fringe Festival.

With a cast of four actors and four musicians, the show celebrates Brel's relevance and enduring passions. Translated from the French by American poet Eric Blau and lyricist Mort Shuman, Jacques Brel is a blend of ballads, tangos, boleros, rock and classics.

Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, directed by Gordon Greenberg, is scheduled to open on March 27.
