Judi Dench Set to Star in West End Mounting of Hay Fever

Plans have been finalized for the West End revival of Hay Fever, headlined by Judi Dench. The production, which will also star Peter Bowles, is scheduled to run at the Haymarket Theatre from April 6 through August 5.

Hay Fever centers on the eccentric Bliss family--recently retired stage actress Judith Dench, self-absorbed novelist David and their two equally unconventional children. They all invite different guests for the weekend a proper diplomat, a shy flapper, an athletic boxer and a fashionable sophisticate, and chaos ensues when family members start professing to emotions and reacting to situations that do not really exist.

In addition to Dench and Bowles, the cast of this production will include Belinda Lang, Kim Medcalf, Charles Edwards and Dan Stevens. Peter Hall is set to direct.

A Man for All Seasons, the Haymarket's current tenant, will end its run a week early on April 1.
