Broadway Grosses: Chita Checks Out

Producers have decided to close the autobiographical tuner Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life on February 19,and a look at last week's grosses makes the reason obvious. For the week ending February 12, the musical grossed $162,025, and filled the Schoenfeld Theatre to 43.82% capacity on average. Hopefully, the show will have a better fate on the road--it begins a national tour in Miami in January 2007. Here is a look at who was on top and who was not for the week ending February 12:
