The West End's Novello Theatre to Cut Footloose in April

The U.K. tour of Footloose The Musical will land at the West End's Novello Theatre this spring. The show is scheduled to begin performances there on April 8.

Footloose has a book by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, based on Pitchford's screenplay for the hit film of the same name, music by Tom Snow and lyrics by Pitchford with additional numbers by Kenny Loggins, Sammy Hagar, Jim Steinman and Eric Carmen. The plot centers on a city boy, Ren, who moves to a small American town where dancing is banned.

This production of the tuner, directed by Karen Bruce, is currently playing at the Manchester Palace Theatre. It will also stop at the Belfast Grand Opera House, Bristol Hippodrome, Edinburgh Playhouse, Woking New Victoria Theatre and Plymouth Theatre Royal before its West End bow.
