Dates Set for James Earl Jones in Thurgood at Westport Country Playhouse

Dates have been set for the Westport Country Playhouse mounting of George Stevens Jr.'s Thurgood, which will feature James Earl Jones in the title role. The one-man show is scheduled to run in Connecticut from April 30 through May 14.

Thurgood centers on Thurgood Marshall, who rose from a childhood in the backstreets of Baltimore to the Supreme Court of the United States. Along the way, Marshall overcame many adversities but through them all, remained focused and positive. He retired from the High Court in 1991 and passed away on January 24, 1993.

Leonard Foglia, who previously directed Jones in last season's On Golden Pond, will helm Thurgood.
