Harvey Fierstein to Host Drama Desk Awards on May 21

Three-time Drama Desk winner Harvey Fierstein, currently appearing in Hairspray in Las Vegas, is set to host the Drama Desk Awards for the third consecutive year. The annual event will take place on May 21 at 9pm at the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center.
The Drama Desk Awards honors all of New York theater, encompassing off-off-Broadway, off-Broadway and Broadway. The 2006 award ceremony will be taped and later broadcast as a two-hour special on Thirteen/WNET, the PBS station in New York City, and NYC-25.
