Malick, Williams, Dale, Anderson, Antoon & Lavelle Set for Burleigh Grime$

Wendie Malick, Ashley Williams, James Badge Dale, Nancy Anderson, Jason Antoon and John Lavelle will star in Roger Kirby's Burleigh Grime$ at New World Stages. The show is scheduled to begin performances on May 23.

Set in a world where no bad deed goes unrewarded, Burleigh Grime$ examines the force of capitalism in America. At the beginnings of his Wall Street career, George Radbourn Dale, a New England blue-blood, is too self-satisfied to recognize that his mentor, Burleigh Grimes, may not be entirely sincere in appearance or agenda. A driven and hard-driving stock market powerhouse, Grimes is a man of infinite calculation and relentless purpose, further assisted in his financial schemes by media maven Elizabeth Bigley Malick. In an arena where the naïve and sentimental face ruin, George struggles for survival under the manipulative hand of Grimes' flexible business tactics, while also dealing with the arrival of his college sweetheart, Grace Redding Williams, who will soon have to face some difficult choices of her own.

Malick is perhaps best known for her Emmy-nominated performance as Nina Van Horn on Just Shoot Me. Her other small screen credits include Dream On, Baywatch, Frasier and Jake in Progress. Her theatrical credits include North Shore Fish, Round Trip, The Vagina Monologues, Santaland Diaries and The Underpants.

Williams has been very busy recently, with recurring roles on Huff, How I Met Your Mother and E-Ring. Like Malick, she is probably best known for her work in an NBC comedy series-Williams was the female lead in Good Morning, Miami. A Westchester, New York native, Williams studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her theatrical credits include the 2001 mounting of Street Scene at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Dale was featured on the third season of 24 as Chase Edmunds. Dale then credited as Badgett Dale had a large role in 1990's The Lord of the Flies.

Anderson recently headlined Fanny Hill off-Broadway. She has been featured in Broadway productions of A Class Act and Wonderful Town. She twice starred off-Broadway in Jolson & Company, a show that earned her a 2000 Drama Desk Award nomination. Her other notable credits include the national tour of Dr. Dolittle.

Antoon appeared in Contact off and on Broadway. His off-Broadway credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Scapin and Around the World in Eighty Days.

Lavelle appeared on Broadway in The Graduate. Late last year he appeared off-Broadway in Rope.

Burleigh Grime$, directed by David Warren, is set to open off-Broadway on June 13.
