Sherry Glaser's Family Secrets to Close Off-B'way on April 9

The off-Broadway show Family Secrets will end its limited engagement at 37 Arts on April 9. It will have played 15 previews and 39 regular performances at the space, according to a production spokesperson.

Sherry Glaser co-wrote and stars in this one-woman show directed by Bob Balaban. Drawing on personal observations and shared experiences, Family Secrets centers on five members of a Jewish family, all played by Glaser, who have been transplanted from the Bronx to Southern California.

Family Secrets opened off-Broadway on March 8 to mostly positive reviews. In his Broadway.com Review of the production, Ron Lasko wrote: "In the final analysis, Family Secrets is good old-fashioned solo show. It might not win any awards, but it certainly is a crowd pleaser. It's just the kind of show you can take the whole family to see."

The run of Family Secrets was originally scheduled to end on April 23, but booking was recently extended through June 18.
