Shout! tracks five young women as they come of age in England during the swinging 1960s. Instead of by name, each woman in the cast is identified by the color of her costume: Marie-France Arcilla Blue, Erin Crosby Yellow, Julie Dingman Evans Orange, Erica Schroeder Green and Denise Summerford Red. The tuner uses letters to an advice columnist, true confessions, quizzes and advertisements as a frame for many 1960s pop hits, including "To Sir With Love," "Downtown," "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me," "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Goldfinger."
The Julia Miles Theatre is usually home to The Women's Project, which will move back into the space in January 2007. If Shout! is still running next winter, it will have to find a new home at that time.
