Vineyard to Welcome [title of show] Back This Summer

[title of show], currently running at the Vineyard Theatre through April 30, will return to the space for an eight week run starting on July 14.

Written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, [title of show] centers on two struggling writers, Jeff and Hunter, who race to write and submit a musical to a theatre festival just weeks away. When they enlist two friends to be in it, all four embark on a breathless, sweat-drenched journey. Will they finish in time? Will they keep their friendships intact? Will they get over their negative Broadway.com review? Chronicling the story of its own creation, [title of show] provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into just what it takes to mount a new musical, from conception to opening night. The show stars Bowen, Bell, Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff.

[title of show], directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse, began its run at the Vineyard Theatre on February 15 and has been a popular hit. In his Broadway.com Review of the tuner, Edward Karam wrote: "This environment is hermetically sealed, accessible primarily to theater mavens… The exhortation to follow one's dream is old hat, and about an hour into the show, expanded to 90 minutes after its initial run in the Musical Theatre Festival, the rarefied atmosphere begins to be stifling. Although Bowen and Bell are unquestionably talented, you may leave wishing they could find something of more general interest to build their fan base."

[title of show] will have an Original Cast Album recorded by Ghostlight Records a division of Sh-K-Boom Records. While its current stint at the Vineyard is part of the non-profit's subscription series, the return engagement will technically be a commercial production presented by Kevin McCollum, Laura Camien and the Vineyard Theatre.

During [title of show]'s hiatus, the Vineyard stage will be occupied by Mary Pat Gleason's Stopping Traffic, which is scheduled to run May 24 to June 25.
