Lion King's Patrick Page to Play Title Role in How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

The Lion King star Patrick Page will play the title role in Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! at the Hilton Theatre this holiday season. The stage version of the popular children's book starts performances October 25 and opens November 8.

Page is currently playing villainous Scar in The Lion King, a role he has played for many years in the hit Disney musical. Other Broadway credits include Julius Caesar opposite Denzel Washington and Beauty and the Beast, in which he played the role of Lumiere. At Washington's Shakespeare Theatre Company, Page played Iago in Othello winning a Helen Hayes Award and the title role in Macbeth.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! will play a limited run at the Hilton Theatre through January 7, 2007.
