Broadway Grosses: Kiki & Herb Say Adieu to the Great White Way

As kids headed back to school after Labor Day, Broadway's box office numbers took a plunge. Only three shows played to more than 90% capacity, compared to 11 the previous week. Three of the five "underdogs" in terms of capacity were long-running musicals The Producers, Rent and Hairspray, along with The Wedding Singer and Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway, which ended its limited run at the Helen Hayes Theatre on September 10.
