Danner, a recent Emmy winner for Huff and veteran of the Roundabout's production of Follies, stars as Mrs. Venable, an aging widow distraught over the mysterious death of her son. When Catharine Holly Gugino, who starred in After the Fall at the Roundabout, the young cousin traveling with him, begins raising scandalous allegations, Mrs. Venable enlists the help of a young doctor, played by Harold, to preserve her son's reputation.
Harold has starred in the TV series Queer as Folk and Vanished and appeared in the films East Broadway, Father and Sons, The Unseen, Rhino Eyes, Particles of Truth, Life on the Ledge and Wake. On the New York stage, he appeared in Austin Pendleton's Uncle Bob.
Shipley, a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, has appeared on Broadway in Arms and the Man, Deep Blue Sea, Indiscretions and The Father. Off-Broadway credits include The Clearing, Phaedra in Delirium, Kindertransport, Two, and Six Characters in Search of an Author.
Walsh's New York credits include Let's Face It, Sitting Pretty and The Flid Show.
Wilcox has appeared off-Broadway in The Great American Trailer Park Musical and A Man of No Importance and at Chicago's Goodman Theatre in The Light in the Piazza.
Suddenly Last Summer's design team will include Santo Loquasto sets and costumes, David Weiner lights and Peter Golub original music and sound. The production is set to run through January 21, 2007.
