Actors' Equity Association council has announced the election of Mark Zimmerman to the position of president. Zimmerman was voted into office by unanimous acclimation in a Council meeting held September 26. A member of Equity since 1976, Zimmerman has appeared in numerous Broadway and touring productions, including Mamma Mia!, On the Twentieth Century, The Rainmaker, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Brigadoon. His most recent stage appearances were in the Cape Playhouse productions of Moonlight and Magnolias and Guys and Dolls. His film and television credits include The Thomas Crown Affair, A Price Above Rubies, For Love or Money, Bonfire of the Vanities, Murphy Brown, Dash and Lilly, A Question of Honor and a recurring role as a judge on Law & Order.
