Johnny Galecki, who is co-starring in the Broadway comedy The Little Dog Laughed, will miss the first two previews of the show's run, October 26 and 27, in order to complete filming on the CBS pilot The Big Bang Theory, in which he stars. At those previews, his role as Alex, an ambitious male prostitute, will be performed by the show's understudy, Brian Henderson. Galecki will resume performances on October 28 at 2:00pm.
Douglas Carter Beane's acclaimed comedy The Little Dog Laughed also stars Tom Everett Scott as a closeted up-and-coming movie star, Julie White as the star's brash agent and Ari Graynor as Alex's needy girlfriend. Directed by Scott Ellis, the play will officially open on November 13 at the Cort Theatre.
