After Two-Year Run, Slava's Snowshow to Close on January 7

The popular, circus-like Slava's Snowshow has announced a closing date of January 7, 2007, at the Union Square Theatre, according to David Foster, one of its producers. The show opened off-Broadway on September 8, 2004.

Slava's Snowshow is the brainchild of Russian-born clown Slava Polunin, who moved to England in 1988 and launched his current show there, to great acclaim. Each performance culminates in a snowstorm that engulfs the entire audience. Slava toured with the Cirque du Soleil show Alegria, which continues to feature excerpts from Snowshow, and Slava's Snowshow has been performed in 25 countries and been seen by more than a million people.
