Broadway Grosses: Stoppard's Epic Coast of Utopia Begins

The first part of Tom Stoppard's epic trilogy The Coast of Utopia began its run on October 17 at Lincoln Center Theater. With an all-star cast that includes Ethan Hawke, Billy Crudup, Brian F. O'Byrne and Amy Irving, "Voyage" filled the Vivian Beaumont Theatre to 90.54% capacity in its first six previews. Meanwhile, Broadway newcomer A Chorus Line cracked the top five in capacity, playing to almost sellout crowds at the Schoenfeld Theatre.
