A troupe of 11 South and West African musicians share song, dance and drum performances in Drumstruck, then lead in a jam session in which audiences play drums provided on every seat. The show was conceived by drum enthusiast Warren Lieberman, who invited strangers into his Lieberman Drum Café in Johannesburg in 1997 to join him in beating a drum. Since then, Lieberman's Drum Café has provided 25,000 drums for a drum circle at a South African rugby match and played to Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth and President George W. Bush, among others.
The cast features Nicholas "Africa" Djanie, Nicollette Sebatane, Emmanuel Nathi Kumalo, Enock Bafana Mahlangu, Tiny Modise, Benjamin Handel, Simon Letsoela, Dikeledi Mathibela, Molutsi Mogami, John Tommy Moremogolo, Molebeledi "Sponch" Mogapi and Leeanet Noble.
