Originally produced in London last spring at the Royal Court Theatre, Dying City tells the story of Kelly, a young therapist whose husband dies while on military duty in Iraq. A year later, her husband's identical twin brother arrives unexpectedly at Kelly's door, seeking solace—and answers to the mystery of his brother's death.
Schreiber received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in LCT's Tony Award winning revival of Awake and Sing! last season. His off-Broadway credits include Mr. Marmalade, Manuscript, Sin, Blood Orange and Julius Caesar. His film and TV credits include The Lords of Dogtown, The Manchurian Candidate, Into the Fire, The Mudge Boy, Invitation to a Suicide; Quid Pro Quo, The Wire, A Painted House, Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Brooksher, a 2005 graduate of Juilliard, has appeared at the Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Guthrie Theatre and was in the CBS TV series Love Monkey.
Dying City will have sets and costumes by Anthony Ward, lighting by Pat Collins and sound design by Guy Sherman/Aural Fixation.
The current production at the Newhouse, Sarah Ruhl's The Clean House, is set to close on January 28. Upstairs at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, LCT is presenting Tom Stoppard's trilogy The Coast of Utopia, directed by Jack O'Brien, through May 13.
