Newcomer Jared Gertner Joins the Cast of Broadway's Spelling Bee

Newcomer Jared Gertner steps into the role of William Barfee in Broadway's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on January 30. Josh Gad played his last performance as the owner of the magic foot on January 28.

Gertner makes his Broadway debut in Spelling Bee after having played the role in the show's San Francisco and Boston productions. In New York, the NYU grad has performed in My Favorite Year, Minimum Wage and Corduroy and has appeared regionally at the Cincinnati Playhouse, St. Louis Rep, PaperMill Playhouse and the Orpheum Theatre.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will continue to star Derrick Baskin, Deborah Craig, Barrett Foa, Lisa Howard, Jose Llana, Sarah Saltzberg, Greg Stuhr and Jessica Snow-Wilson.
