Cast of McNally's Some Men Will Feature McElroy, Weller and More

The cast for the New York premiere of Terrence McNally's Some Men has been announced. The play will be directed by Trip Cullman and is set to run at off-Broadway's Second Stage from March 2 through April 15, with opening night set for March 26.

The full company includes Don Amendolia Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, My One and Only, Kelly AuCoin Julius Caesar, Romain Frugé The Full Monty, Titanic, David Greenspan Happy Days, Jesse Hooker Drug Buddy, Michael McElroy Big River, Rent, Pedro Pascal Based on a Totally True Story, Beauty of the Father, Randy Redd Parade and Frederick Weller Seascape, Glengarry Glen Ross.

While two men exchange wedding vows in Some Men, guests at the ceremony chart their own loves, lives, and the degrees of liberation they've achieved —or not—over the years. At once a collage and a celebration, with equal parts wit and heart, McNally's play is set against the events that shaped the past century.

Some Men had its world premiere in May 2006 at the Philadelphia Theatre Company. Amendolia is the only cast member returning to his role from that production. McNally, a four-time Tony Award winner Ragtime, Master Class, Love! Valour! Compassion!, Kiss of the Spider Woman will be represented on Broadway later in the spring with Deuce, starring Marian Seldes and Angela Lansbury.

The Second Stage production of Some Men will feature scenic design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Kevin Adams and sound design by John Gromada.
