Thuna's theater works include The Natural Look, Let Me Hear You Smile co-author, Show Me Where The Good Times Are, After You, Mr. Hyde book, The Eleventh book, Love From Mother, A House For Rosie and Natural Ingredients. For television, Lee wrote the adaptation of Maya Angelou's I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and wrote and produced the film Family Secrets. She created the series Goodtime Girls ABC, The Natural Look NBC and wrote for Family, Lou Grant and Angie.
As an actress, Ivey won Tony Awards for both Steaming and Hurlyburly and appears in Clint Eastwood's recent film Flags of Our Fathers. She has been touring the U.S. in the one-woman show Women on Fire. She directed Southern Comforts at Primary Stages last fall. Other directing credits include Bad Dates Chicago's Northlight Repertory Theatre and Laguna Playhouse, Steel Magnolias Alley Theatre and Waiting for the Flood ACT in San Francisco.
