Jones, Redgrave Among Winners of L.A. Drama Critics Circle Awards

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards were presented on March 19 at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, hosted by the performance troupe Culture Clash, who received the Ted Schmitt Award for their world premiere play, Water and Power. Awards were given in 16 categories, honoring excellence in theater in greater Los Angeles over the past year. Among the well-known names honored were actors Cherry Jones Doubt, Laurence Fishburne Fences and Lynn Redgrave Nightingale. The recipients are as follows:
