An import from London's Soho Theatre, Grace, a new play by Mick Gordon and AC Grayling, will run at the off-Broadway theater from August 29 through October 20. When noted scientist Grace Friedman learns that her son Tom has decided to become a Christian minister, she is forced to confront the meaning of both her atheist convictions and maternal impulses. Tom¹s father and pregnant girlfriend are caught in the cross-fire between mother and son that leads to a tragic twist.
Jim Knable's Spain is set to run from January 23 through March 8. A romantic play, it concerns Barbara, a recent divorcee who retreats into her very active imagination where she meets a sexy Conquistador. Together, they embark on a fanciful journey to a country she has long dreamed of visiting. Spain is billed as a touching tale in which a disenchanted, lonely woman finds her way to self-knowledge and self-confidence through the simple, profound act of loving and being loved.
