New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse will continue production this season after all. As we previously reported, the theater came public earlier in the week with their financial woes, saying that if $1.5 million wasn't raised by Friday, it would close. Now, two local real estate companies have agreed to back a multimillion-dollar bank loan that will help the theater stay afloat. According to a report in the Associated Press, Paper Mill raised roughly $300,000 in donations since the announcement.
The Paper Mill production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers started technical rehearsals today at the Millburn, New Jersey theater. Performances begin next Wednesday, April 11.
