Broadway performer Peter Kapetan died on June 4 at the age of 51. Kapetan was last seen on Broadway impersonating Ronald Reagan and playing various others roles in the 2006 musical The Wedding Singer.
Kapetan made his Broadway debut in Got Tu Go Disco, the infamous disco musical that played the Minskoff Theatre in 1979. Other Broadway credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard and Titanic. National tours and off-Broadway credits brought him leading roles in Camelot, Aida, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Olympus on My Mind and The Wild Party.
He is survived by parents Peter and Helen Kapetan, brother Nicholas Kapetan and sisters Melissa Kapetan Russow and Christine Kapetan. A memorial service was held on June 13. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Actors Fund, 729 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
