Shoshana Bean Joins Kennedy Center Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber

Former Wicked and Hairspray star Shoshana Bean has joined the six-member cast of the Kennedy Center’s forthcoming holiday engagement of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, which will play the newly renovated Eisenhower Theatre from December 23 through January 4, 2009, directed by Tom Kosis. Opening night has been set for December 27.

Bean completes a cast that will include Liz Callaway Cats, Miss Saigon, Eric Kunze Jesus Christ Superstar, Whistle Down the Wind, Miss Saigon, Ron Bohmer The Phantom of the Opera, The Woman in White, Sunset Boulevard, David Josefsberg Les Misérables, Grease, Altar Boyz and Laurie Gayle Stephenson The Phantom of the Opera.

Featuring a 30-piece onstage orchestra, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber features the best-loved songs from the scores composed by the Tony, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer of Cats, Evita, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar, Song & Dance, Starlight Express, Aspects of Love, Whistle Down the Wind, The Beautiful Game, The Woman in White and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This edition of the show has been personally devised by Andrew Lloyd Webber for the Kennedy Center engagement. The creative and design team includes musical supervisor and conductor Edward G. Robinson, lighting designer Brian Nason and sound designer Lucas J. Corrubia Jr.
