Marcy Harriell will join the cast of Tony Award winner In The Heights as the feisty young heroine Vanessa beginning November 18 at the Richard Rodgers Theater. The Broadway veteran replaces actress Karen Olivo, who departed Heights on October 26 for the forthcoming Broadway revival of West Side Story.
Harriell’s Broadway credits include Rent, Lennon and the Encores! production of Kismet. Other theater credits include Lucky Duck Old Globe Theater, Little Fish and Sorrows and Rejoicing Second Stage, and Company Kennedy Center. The actress also appeared on the big screen in director Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof, and has been a series regular on CBS’s TV series Queens Supreme.
