Due to overwhelming ticket demand, Second Stage Theatre’s acclaimed production of scribe Gina Gionfriddo’s Becky Shaw has extended its limited run by six weeks. Directed by Peter DuBois, the production began previews December 16 and opened January 8. Originally slated to play through February 1, Shaw will now run until March 15.
Featuring David Wilson Barnes, Emily Bergl, Kelly Bishop, Annie Parisse and Thomas Sadoski., Becky Shaw is the story of a newlywed couple who fix up two romantically challenged friends: wife's best friend, meet husband's sexy and strange new co-worker. When an evening calculated to bring happiness takes a dark turn, crisis and comedy ensue in this wickedly funny new play that asks what we owe the people we love and the strangers who land on our doorstep.
The show previously enjoyed an acclaimed run at the Humana Festival last summer and features scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Jeff Mahshie, lighting design by David Weiner and sound design by Walter Trarbach.
