BBC America will re-air two British TV shows featuring Scottish-born stage vet John Barrowman
Putting It Together on March 29, including the premiere of the London-based reality casting series
Any Dream Will Do.
In
Any Dream Will Do, host Graham Norton, Barrowman and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber search for new talent to play Joseph in the West End revival of
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. After rounds of auditions, 12 actors make the cut to prove they have the charisma and star quality to land the lead role. Each week they are put to the test with ensemble numbers, solo performances, and exercises to test their skills.
Any Dream Will Do originally aired in the UK in 2007, with winner Lee Mead announced live on June 9, 2007.
Directly after the premiere of Any Dream Will Do, BBC America will air The Making of Me: John Barrowman, a one-hour special in which the actor goes on a journey of self discovery to answer the question: Why am I the way I am? Barrowman sets out to unearth what the latest scientific research can tell him about the origins of his homosexuality. His search for evidence takes him back to his roots to meet family and old friends and for the first time, meet with scientists to find out how nature and nurture might have interacted to make him who he is.
