Broadway Grosses: Numbers Up; Ferrell as Bush Has a Happy Presidents' Day

The Presidents’ Day three-day weekend helped generate healthy jumps in the grosses at almost every Broadway show. Appropriately enough, Will Ferrell’s You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush led the frontrunners for capacity at almost 99% and raked in an impressive $846,507, more than many big-budget Broadway musicals. Fans eager to see Lin-Manuel Miranda one final time before he departed In the Heights on February 15 pushed the Tony-winning musical into both top five lists.
