Weapons of Self-Destruction, Williams' first new comedy show in seven years, is currently in the midst of an 80-city tour. His last stand-up tour, in 2002, culminated in a final performance on HBO, Robin Williams: Live on Broadway, which was nominated for five Emmy Awards. The new show will feature the comic actor's trademark free associations and riffs on social and political absurdities.
Williams has four Golden Globe Awards, four Grammy Awards, and an Oscar to his credit. In addition to his upcoming tour, he’ll star in the upcoming Disney comedy Old Dogs, opposite John Travolta, and will reprise his role as Teddy Roosevelt in the sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, co-starring Ben Stiller.
