Jon Michael Hill is currently shooting a recurring role in AMC’s upcoming courtroom drama 61st Street produced by BAFTA winner Peter Moffat and Michael B. Jordan. He most recently guest starred on The Good Fight on CBS All Access. Recent film credits include Steve McQueen’s Widows. He also starred in the Spike Lee-directed Amazon Prime Video production of Pass Over, a role he originated at Steppenwolf Theatre, and reprised at Lincoln Center, for which he was nominated for a 2019 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play. Hill is best known to television audiences as series regular Det. Marcus Bell in CBS’s Elementary, and as Det. Washington in ABC’s Detroit 1-8-7. He recurred as Darnell in the HBO series Eastbound and Down. Film credits include In the Radiant City and No Pay Nudity. Jon was nominated for a Tony Award in his Broadway debut in Superior Donuts. Off-Broadway, Jon played Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Shakespeare in the Park for The Public Theater. Jon is on the Board of Trustees of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. An ensemble member since 2007, Jon has appeared in numerous Steppenwolf productions.
