"The integration of Cats and the Ball culture is nothing short of brilliant. As you experience it, you wonder what took so long and yet it is filled with surprises of every kind. The creators understood how to meld the iconoclastic with restrained wit. It creates a perfect framework that draws you in and doesn't leave you alone even after the final notes are played. The original Cats has been a polarizing show since it opened in London in the late 70s. People love it! And people love to hate it. This production swings to those who just love it. It is fun beyond belief. The choreography is inspired, an amalgamation of real Ball and real dance. [They are not the same.] The cast is miraculous. The look and feel sends you over the rainbow. The musical arrangements are mind blowing. If you look for flaws, you will find a few, but then again too few to mention. GO! If you don't find a new piece of yourself, you haven't looked hard enough. Bravi to all concerned."

Finally! Cats makes sense!
"Cats- Jellicle ball was a delight! The dancing, the vocals, the costumes- all 5 star!
I found myself transfixed by the performance. Every actor delivered. There were so many characters to watch. It was a feast for the eyes.
Thank you to all the cast for making my day special. It was a joy to be in theater with performers who had no fear and were only concerned with captivating the audience.
Grateful to the company for helping me see the story and revealing its heart. Amazing!"

Exactly what you want - not what you expect
"I thought the concept and execution of the concept was absolutely brilliant. I love the original and was nervous that I would find out I was a 'purist' - not even close! It was fun, beautiful, and heartfelt in all the right ways.
Unexpectedly the best queer theatre I've ever seen. It's loud, it's fun, I recommend it for anyone who simply enjoys a FUN night of theatre. "

Fun experience
"I really enjoyed the remastering of the original cats. Thereās a lot of wonderful symbolism of triumph, and support and acceptance for one another that I really enjoyed. If youāre not familiar with cats or the original remastered version before it made it to Broadway, I recommend doing some research on it so that itās easier to follow during the actual show.
But overall a great show and cast! I enjoyed my time watching it. "

A beautiful celebration
"Cats Jellicle Ball is one of those shows for true lovers of what theater can be. It is transformative. It pushes boundaries. Most importantly, however, it is a beautiful celebration of art, life, and being true to oneself. Keeping the original music from Cats while adding dimension to the characters and story, the Jellicle Ball does what Ball does best - takes something kitsch (sorry Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber) and raises it to art. If you have the opportunity to see this show, don't miss it!"

A Raucous Timeā¦in the best Possible Way
"My grandchild (16) asked for tickets for Christmas. A trip to NYC is always a fun time. Cats: The Jellicle Ball was a good time. Exactly what I thought it would be but better. Fun but not what I was expecting
"It was a very specific subject matter that I was not familiar with until I went home and researched. Half the performers seemed like professional artists but the others just average. It was fun and entertaining but I would maybe pick a different show if you want an understandable storyline or traditional broadway show. "

About
Cats: The Jellicle Ball
Come one, come all – The Jellicle Cats are having a BALL. Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber's worldwide phenomenon CATS is reimagined in a production that smashed records, won awards and left New York City purring. And now CATS: The Jellicle Ball ascends to Broadway in a kaleidoscope of glittering spectacle, iconic music and electrifying ballroom choreography that The New York Times calls “a lightning strike that sets joy free!
Broadway meets Runway in the fiercest event of the season, directed by Obie Award winners Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch, with choreography by Obie Award winners and New York City Ballroom legends Omari Wiles (House of Ricci) and Arturo Lyons (House of Miyake-Mugler). Don’t miss this “sexy celebration of love and resilience” (New York Daily News) and “the most exhilarating fun that can be had in the theater” (The Washington Post).
