"Dazzling show, boisterous fun, too sexy for children or, say, for extremely conservative people, but a fabulous night out for everyone else. Helpful tips: (1) pick up a copy of T. S. Eliot’s BOOK OF PRACTICAL CATS (1939) as those poems were transmuted first into Andrew Lloyd Weber’s original Broadway “Cats” and now into this revival. (2) View at least some of the documentary “Paris is Burning” if you’re unfamiliar with the queer Black and Latino late 20th-century drag subculture represented here. And including some of its luminaries. You can attend without that preparation but it will enrich the adventure for you. "

The most iconic revival ever!
"My wife I came to NYC to visit our daughter and wanted to see a show. It was my 50th birthday and I wanted to see something that felt like a party. After all the reviews and videos I knew Cats the Jellicle Ball was what I wanted to go to for my big 5-0! This show delivered on all the hype. A joyous celebration. And what an amazingly talented cast that navigated seamlessly through the traditional broadway art form but also bringing the diversity of urban, hip hop, and the underground LGBTQ+ Ballroom scene. This is the most beautifully human show you can experience from a richly talented collection of artists. It truly made my birthday. I also purchased stage seats. So a little FYI, if you are not ready to be a part of the show and give these artists some love then do yourself (and them) a favor…Go sit in the balcony. So many of them were giving their all interacting with the audience and those of us on stage. You got to be ready to have fun and give them love right back. Get ready to clack those fans. Something I learned to do while standing in line waiting for the doors to open. These performers deserve all the energy back that they give out. I cannot recommend this show enough!! 20/10. …. 7 out of five stars…. I would see this show again and again. "
