Chicago on Broadway delivers an outstanding theatrical experience anchored by exceptional performances across all elements of production. The cast consistently receives praise for their remarkable talent, confidence, and charisma, with standout performances and the ensemble's brilliant execution of Fosse's iconic choreography. The show's greatest strengths are its spectacular dancing and choreography, sensational singing, and phenomenal orchestra performance, with reviewers particularly impressed by the dancers' precision, stamina, and athleticism, as well as the live band's engaging interaction with performers. The production also excels in its vibrant costumes, clear diction, and energetic pacing that maintains audience engagement throughout. Minor criticisms include the story feeling somewhat dated after 30 years of the show's run and occasional concerns about theater seating comfort, though these issues do not significantly detract from the overall experience. The show comes highly recommended as a must-see Broadway production that successfully transforms familiar material into a fresh, captivating live experience, making it an excellent choice for both first-time Broadway attendees and returning theater enthusiasts.

Amazing
"Had a great time seeing Chicago. Highly recommend it. The leads will get most of the attention, but I want to give a shout out to the dancers who were in perfect unison the entire performance. I saw another Broadway play last year and they were off the entire time. This group never missed a step. Shout out to Rachel Schur as Roxie, Greg Hildreth as Amos, and John Bell's fabulous acting ability while conducting :)"

An Obvious Classic!
"It was funny, but it was also very sad, and a sharp satire of the justice system of the past and present. The music was catchy, the jokes landed, and the satire was incisive. No wonder it's been around so long!"

Love It!!!
"Although the orchestra on the stage, which is not a favorite for me, I did like the minimalist staging. The focus was totally on the performance, ensemble, actors, dancers etc. and it was superb. An absolutely worth seeing performance. So funny, clever and entertaining!!!

A Cabaret inspired play
"The singing and cast were absolutely wonderful. One of the female leads immediately reminded us of Liza Minnelli and the supporting singers were just delightful. A period play set in Chicago with adultery, treachery, and murder."

Amazing show!
"Chicago was one of the best shows I have seen. The quality of every single cast member was a 10. The story and music is fabulous. I brought my 14 year old and it was fine for him, but I don't believe it's a kids show as it contains adult themes and humor. "

"The show was spectacular to say the least! The performers were remarkable as the majority of them were on stage more than the main characters! You could truly see the passion they had in their show! Would highly recommend for a fun, sexy, and hilarious show!! "

30 yrs and counting
"Having seen Chicago on stage plus the movie (great) over the past 30 yrs, we decided to catch it during our most recent NYC visit. Honestly, the driving force was curiosity over the casting of Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas. We were not disappointed. Whitney is far more than a novelty act. She CAN sing, dance and act. We expected Mark to dance with ease; his singing exceeded all expectations.
Chicago is simply a wonderful show. Whitney and Mark were inspired casting choices."
